These flowered early at the farm. My Dad always remembers them flowering on my Uncle Adolph's birthday ~ May 27.

Something about the arrangement makes the iris seem larger than life. At first glance I thought the glass was a bird bath, and that there was some huge flower on top. Gives it an interesting effect, I had to do a double-take.

I actually spotted the glass at the Good Neighbour Boutique and Gallery. I had to have it. Photo ideas were popping into my head. For this photo it is actually sitting inside a larger fountain at the farm.
