sometimes

a feather is more than just a feather
sometimes a new found friend
is more than just a freind

a few months ago I was
without
Debbie Smith Kaich Jones
in my life

when we both happened to pause
at the comment of Jenny Doh
an inquiry
about art saves

ever since then
I have been blessed
with Debbie's presence

no
she is not always an angel
neither am I

her words
her images
touch me
though
in a place
few touch me

I learned Debbie would be in the April/May/June issue of Somerset Life. As soon as I picked the edition up in the bookstore ~ I felt a shiver. I felt a calm. I felt a knowing. I had to calm my breath. I needed to take it all in.

Yes, I have been blessed with Debbie's presence. I have been very inspired. My own feather collection, at least part of ~

And a couple of images from my very own copy of Somerset Life ~ my tiny little part of Debbie which I can touch with my own hands ~
Today Debbie is being recognized for her wonderful blog in Artful Blogging. Some friends and I have chosen to honour Debbie for all of her accomplishments and to bring her to the world's attention for her fabulosity. Dear freinds I introduce to you Debbie Smith Kaich Jones.

Thanks so much for sharing the pages of Somerset...so those of us outside can get a glimpse. :-)

I loved seeing your jar of feathers...I have one of my own, so similar, and the dragonfly wings, iridescent and oh-so-fragile, but, alas, mine have no body between them...they just lie on my windowsill, reminding me we don't always need strength to fly on our own, just faith.

Thanks again for all your comments. I love what you've said Deborah about needing only faith. To me faith and hope are the essential qualities.

Thank you for introducing me to Debi. It's a lovely tribute, and I went over immediately to look around, and greet her. What a lovely, soulful feeling in her photos and in her words.

And thanks for visiting and commenting on Seeded Earth. You really ARE an angel -- you know how much I love your visits and visiting you, too -- right??

winnsangels said...

You are welcome Bo. And thank YOU for your compliments. I love your visits too.

oh. this just made me cry. i am so late getting to everyone and this is just so - well, i keep using the word humbling, but it truly is. what kind, kind words, and then to see your feathers, and to think i inspired you. it is an amazing feeling - there really are no words to explain.

thank you so much. so much. bless you!

xoxo
Debi
