so little time, so many ideas:
I'm practically chomping at the bit to dig in and do much more creating. Ahhh - someday I will again find time - just not quite yet.

These are a couple of photos of some fabric I've been working with. The darker flowers were done as rub-ons with Shiva paintstiks.

The more subtle shading is done with a bleach resist. That one will require more painting, I think.

Over the next days I'm hoping to get into some denim redesign. I've been investigating and have some denim to work with and ideas. If anything comes together with that I'll try to share.

Almost forget the bit of exciting news ~ I entered a number of my photographs and art quilts in the Saskatoon exhibition. I didn't have time to give the photos any added TLC with mats or anything but decided if I was doing it I needed to get on with it. Judging is happening this week. The exhibition is next week so I'm hoping to get to see them displayed on Tuesday. I'll let you know how I made out. Yipes - I was SOOOO apprehensive BUT I did it and now I may get a bit of local exposure. I've some other ideas as well - just need to have the time to actually do more art.

Gotta run.

Don't forget to leave a comment if you've not already done so for the give away. I think it will have to wait for the drawing until early next week. Apologies for the delay, just too busy at moment.

Kitchen delays = giveaway delay AND "I LOVE COLOUR":
Unfortunately the first part is pretty self explanatory. It's frustrating. The main frustration comes from delays in time for me to be creative. For you it allows extra time to enter the give away if you've not already done so. I'll try to do the give away draw next week even if the cupboards aren't quite done. If you want to tell others of the draw please do. Many people are away with holidays now so are not aware of it. Thanks for staying with me. I'll maybe add a couple of other things to the draw if I can get to posting them.

I LOVE COLOUR ~ as do I think most artists. But I especially want to share this link to Leanne's blog as she is totally into colour.
I especially love this photo which she had in her most recent post about SAD (seasonal affective disorder):

Please be sure to visit Leanne's website about colour. I know that I really love it. And she has spectacular items at her etsy shop as well.

Here are a couple of my own contributions regarding colour:

colourful pots

I love colour

They are recent photos from a trip to the market gardens at Craven. We haven't done a vegetable garden for many years so it's great to visit and get fresh new produce.

All for now. Don't forget to leave a comment to enter for the giveaway. Back at you soon I hope.

Reminders to self:
I have been intrigued by a couple of friends who have done a workshop in which no glue is used. Other methods were incorporated instead. I found this easy to do in a small place and then pick up and put away. Our space is still very cramped as we try to unpack and organize after the huge amount of smoke damage.

I have also made a new video about the journal. Please take a moment to enjoy.

Giveaway announcement: I had promised a giveaway for when our kitchen cupboards are replaced. In case you are not aware we had a fire in our house on May 7 - as I've said "small fire, big smoke". Nearly our whole house had to be emptied out. Much laundering, washing, and ozonating had to happen. Fortunately we had an operating smoke detector which we are told saved our lives. Fortunately insurance is being very helpful.

The other really good thing is that my studio was set up in the basement so most of my art supplies were not affected at all. Some of my supplies and creations were in a bedroom upstairs. They have all been safely returned. There were only a very few things in the kitchen, where the fire started in the dishwasher, that actually had to be thrown out and replaced.

Here's the scoop. The cupboards are in our basement in boxes. We are going to the farm for a few days next week. If you are interested in any of the prizes please leave a comment anytime between today and July 26. I anticipate the cupboards will all be in place and I will have some time to do the draw. If I extend the date I will try to let you know. PLEASE TELL ME WHAT YOUR FAVE COLOUR IS within your comment. If you neglect to say I will assume it is blue. The reason for the colour is I will be sending some extra surprises with the items.

These are the items I will be giving away. I may also add a scarf with each as Kat and I tend to be collectors of them and we have far too many. Also let me know if you know of anyone that likes to do cross stitch. I have numerous little kits that I would be very happy to swap for. They are mostly little Christmas kits.

I've included one of my postcards, a flat canvas (5x7 inches), for you to use as is or further decorate if you desire, one of my embossed photo cards, and a couple of other purchased items.

So leave your comment and let me know the item you most prefer.

Since I started this post we have learned that the counter tops will not be finished for another 3-4 weeks so I'll do this draw when the counters are in (about July 26) and I will announce another one for when the cupboards are totally complete.

I will try to post while we are away so visit often and please leave your comments <3 <3
I've just completed a video so be sure to watch for that.

plenty of pink and some purple too:

pink presence

They caught my attention.
I must find a time to savour their beauty

plenty of petals

before they were gone

pretty in pink

before they were only a memory

a creation of pink

And as purple is one of my favourite colours, very representative to me of spirit, I have chosen to share the beauty of magnolia pearl with you today. This image is from "Country Living" magazine, I believe the March/April issue.

I really love her creations. This video is about her "humble beginning". Take a moment to watch. Let her inspire you.

Overwhelmed but looking to calm:
Before we zip off again I'll share just a couple of images of a vintage quilt I purchased at Manitou. Parts of the quilt are in rough shape. I don't mind. I really like it.

Part of the overwhelmed is from everything I want to share with you. Part is lack of space and time for creating. I will get back to it.

Wishing you peaceful relaxing moments in the days to come. Wishing you time to create and angels to guide your thoughts and actions in whatever you may be doing.
